Brian Thompson

Talk to Brian Thompson for just a few minutes and you hear it: he is passionate about building homes. But he doesn’t just want to build beautiful homes…that’s the easy part. Brian has staked his name on quality craftsmanship and superior customer service, making him one of the best and most reputable builders in his class.

Brian started Thompson Custom Homes in 1997 and has grown the company from a truck and his dog to a full-service operation. More than 20 years and 220 homes later, he oversees the daily operations and leads a team of 13. However, the foundation of his business has been and always will be building quality relationships with potential and current clients.

Thompson Custom Homes has been recognized by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and awarded its prestigious Best in America Living Award 11 times. In 2019, Brian’s team had two projects in the top three, winning gold (Somerland Way) and silver (Greenbay). Two of his showcase homes — Chuckanut and Cheska — were collaborations with Robert Dame and named the NAHB’s Best Custom Home.

Brian and his wife Kat have three children (Courtney, John and Will) and reside in Piney Point where he serves as a city councilman and is commissioner of the Village Fire Department. A licensed real estate broker, he also serves on the board of Spring Spirit Baseball and is a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
